Welcome back to Term 2. We hope all of our students, staff, and families enjoyed a relaxing and refreshing holiday and Easter break. A warm welcome to the new students and families joining our school community this term.
Term 2 is shaping up to be an exciting and, as always, a busy one, kicking off with a Water Safety Week for our Reception to Year 2 students. A huge thank you to the parents who have generously volunteered their time to support supervision — your help is greatly appreciated.
There’s plenty to look forward to, including Winter Sports (Netball, Soccer, Basketball), SAPSASA Cross Country and knockout sports, our popular Mother’s Day Stall, mid-year reception transitions and much more.
Blackwood ANZAC Day Service
ANZAC Day is an important and special day for many in our community, and provides a chance to gather together to remember those who have served and those who continue to do so.
Coromandel Valley PS has a long history of involvement with the Blackwood ANZAC Day service, and this year was no exception.
Our SRC executive, comprising Holly, Pariya, Ethan and Mack, represented our school community perfectly, respectfully placing a wreath at the memorial.
Many thanks to the families of the SRC executive for participating in the early start during the holidays, and to the many other families who were able to attend.
Transition to Secondary School in 2026
For families with a child who starts secondary school in 2026, this week you should have received an email with information and instructions about the statewide process to register your child’s 2026 secondary school enrolment. Information will include an online form for your child. Please ensure you complete the online registration form by 19 May to ensure your child’s place in the statewide process.
Student Information Details
It is important that we have up to date student information, including current contact details for all families – home addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, emergency contacts, shared care arrangements and any other relevant information for our school records.
This information is particularly important for our Year 6 cohort, where address details are required for secondary school transition.
If you have changed any of your contact details or are unsure of the details we have on our database, please contact us by phone 8278 3693 or email karen.hayes453@schools.sa.edu.au
Any change of address details requires proof in writing.
During the year, if you have any changes to your contact details, please communicate these to us asap.
