As part or our inquiry topic into How We Organise Ourselves we have been learning about the process the food goes through to get to our table.  We visited Magarey Orchard to look at their processes from farm to table.

I saw apple trees and pine trees. I enjoyed my fruit, because it was yummy. I’m still wondering why they only grow in Spring? - Lewis 

I saw the apple trees blowing in the wind. I enjoyed the apples, they were sweet. I’m still wondering about the process of the apple. - Vivienne 

I saw netting, tractors, birds, apple trees and pears. I enjoyed learning the apple process, because I learnt something new. I’m still wondering why the fruit gets so big? - Dakota

I saw lots of bare trees and a cold room full of fruit. I enjoyed eating, being warm and having a good time. I’m still wondering is a nashi pear is an apple or a pear. – Zoe

I saw an old truck and an old shed. I enjoyed going into the cold room and eating my apple. I’m still wondering if the farm is going to get bigger? – Len
