TERM 4 NEWS
Dear Families,
Dance Night
We would like to thank parents of Yr 3-7 students for supporting both of our Dance Night performances last week.
It was wonderful to see the smiling faces of children brighten even more knowing that they would be performing for family members. The concert got better each time and students loved the ambience of the Capri Theatre.
A big thank you to our dedicated teachers for giving extra time to support this event, to Kylie Mueller for putting together fabulous powerpoint that celebrated our year, and to Sue and Stacey for their commitment to jump rope and choir. We are so lucky to have their expertise and passion for supporting our children. Lastly, a very big thank you once again to Kelly Bodger for excellence in choreography and training our children to perform with confidence and charisma. An email went out today regarding purchasing a USB recording of the event. This may be purchased on QKR for $12.00.
Powerful Learners
Under the guidance of Eve Hooper, our community leaders have been working on developing their understanding of what it means to become a powerful learner. They have been meeting wth other student leaders in the Mitcham Hills partnership to explore this idea. They have developed a short film, which has been shared with classes, to help children adopt these skills.
Remembrance Day
Today our student leaders led a ceremony for the whole school to commemorate Remembrance Day. With rain looming, several Yr 3 students started the ceremony by sharing their learnings about the importance of reflecting upon the sacrifices that others have made to protect others. This was followed by a minute's silence and the laying of wreaths. Thanks to those families who donated flowers to make our beautiful wreaths. Thank you to Eve Hooper for organising the ceremony with our senior students.

Coro Picnic and Singalong
After discussion with Governing Council we have decided to run an alternative event to our usual "Celebration Night" which is not achievable due to Covid restrictions. On Tuesday 7th December we will invite parents to bring a picnic tea to the school, sit on th oval and join us for a singalong. The canteen will be open for iceblocks, icecreams and drinks. There will be a number limit so please watch out for an email in the next few weeks to register for this event through eventbrite.
School Fees and Payments
A friendly reminder to families that 2021 schools fees need to be paid ASAP and that unpaid fees may be moved to debt collection. As always please contact the school should you wish to set up a payment plan or discuss details for payment.
