TERM 2
Here we are again at the end of a busy term. It is always great to reflect back upon achievements and all that staff and students have accomplished.
On behalf of the staff we would like to thank families for their ongoing support and hope that you enjoy a lovely school holiday.
We have recently updated two school policies which you will find on our website. Please follow the link below to view our attendance policy and our Mobile phone and devices policy.

Reports
Tomorrow your child will bring home their school report. Please spend time with your child to celebrate their achievements and consider the growth points that have been identified.
For our year 1 to 7 students it will include a grade and an effort level. The grading system is explained below.
- An 'A' grade is given for consistently demonstrating exceptional level of understanding at this academic year level.
- A 'B' grade is given for demonstrating a high level of achievement of what is expected at this year level.
- A 'C' grade is given for demonstrating the academic requirements expected at this year level. To be awarded a C grade using these standards represents a significant achievement and should be celebrated as the student has met the expectations of the Australian Curriculum achievement standard.
- Students receiving a 'D' grade at this stage of their journey have demonstrated partial achievement of what is expected at this year level but are showing continued growth.
- An 'E' grade is given to students for demonstrating minimal achievement of what is expected at this year level.
It is also useful to look at your child's effort, as well as growth over time as indicated in comments.
Please contact your child's classroom teacher if you have any queries regarding the student reports.
You may contact the following teachers if you have queries regarding the following specialist subjects:
- Yr 2-7 Japanese - Hiro Yamamoto
- Rec-Yr 1 - Carey Greenslade
- Performing Arts - Stacey Stutterd
- Physical Education - Bernie DeLyster
- Sciences - Sarah Todd
Parent Survey
The newly formed parent consultation group has been looking at last year's parent feedback and working on a survey to seek further information on ways to improve communication and our understanding of student learning.
The survey will be open from now until the end of week 3 next term (6th August). We would really appreciate it if you could take 5 minutes to complete this survey.
