PARENTS AND FRIENDS
Governing Council is looking for a new Parents and Friends coordinator or small team who can take over the organisation and logistics of the events and activities that are run on behalf of Parents and Friends.
These include:
* Organising Parents and Friends meetings
* Admin of P&F Facebook page
* Welcome Gifts (purchasing items for new receptions welcome gifts)
* Morning teas (purchase of goods & greeting/serving new parents & then Grandparents at Book Week)
* Gift stalls (ordering gifts, organising wrapping, setting up stall and rostering helpers for Mothers Day, Fathers Day)
* Raffles (liaise with both school community & wider local community for donations for Dance night & Celebration night raffles)
* Sausage Sizzles/Cake stalls (collating orders, ordering sausages, purchasing bread/sauce etc. Organising cooking/serving/delivery rosters)
* Colour Explosion Fun Run (collating student donation forms, ensuring prizes to be allocated meet funds raised per child, organising parent helpers, tyres, hay).
The school has a fabulous community who will help when the need arises, however after several years it’s time for Janita Bentley to hand over the organisation role.
She is happy to provide more details to anyone interested in taking it on as there are other activities etc that also happen which require less effort (eg. Yr 6/7 graduation books etc) janita.bentley13@schools.sa.edu.au
