GIRLS KNOCKOUT NETBALL
Bodies aching all over and sweat dripping from their foreheads whilst putting their hands in to cheer for the final quarter. Stepping onto the court and waiting for the whistle to blow, they could feel the adrenaline rush through their veins. The Coro team was determined to win.
Last Friday, the girl’s knockout netball team competed in their first matches. They needed to win both games in order to continue in the competition. They had trained extremely hard during the past two weeks and were certainly ready to fight for their spot in the competition.
When the first team, Bellevue heights, walked through the door, the Coro team were feeling many emotions, nerves, excitement, but nevertheless, were ready to try their best. But once the first whistle blew, all those emotions turned to determination, teamwork, and effort which led our girls to a smashing win of 47-13.
Another win for Coro soon followed against Saint Peters Blackwood, who had just beat Bellevue, meaning they had to win to stay in the competition. Saint Peters put up a great fight but Coro was victorious with another great win of 39-15.
Congratulations to Maddi, Darcie, Rose, Mia, Frankie, Claire, Remi, Minnah, and Kitty, and good luck for your next match!
