Freezing Science Fun!

This term in science the year 3's are looking at chemical and physical sciences.  We have been investigating through predicting, observing and running experiments.  Students have been using timers, thermometers and comparing different heat sources and different ways heat can be transferred from one object to another.

In week 5 students in year 3 had their science lesson with Mrs Todd in the new school kitchen space.  We made ice cream in a bag, with just a handful of pantry staples.  We used ice to “freeze” our mixture, but added table salt to ensure we could create ice cream in less than 10 minutes!
