Dear Parents and Caregivers,

It was a pleasure to observe our Yr 3-7 students performing at the Capri Theatre for our annual Dance Night. This year Kelly Bodger, our dance teacher, creatively put together a range of dances around the theme of iconic Art pieces. Congratulations to our creative Yr 7 students who cleverly pieced the dances together with an entertaining script. It was great to see the skills showcased by our Jump Rope team and we thank Sue Matthews for capably coaching this team. Congratulations also to Stacey Stutterd for the work that she has done with the primary choir and the Festival of Music choir. Thanks again to all the people who helped to make this night a success. 

Next week our Yr 5 students will showcase their collaborative learning through the IBPYP Exhibition. Students have been working really hard in their group to explore issues relating to "Sharing the planet". Juli Bryan, Tanya Taylor and Sara Harris, as well as families, have guided students through this process which includes posing questions, research, visiting experts, seeking feedback and creatively sharing new understandings to engage an audience. We look forward to hearing about their learning next week.

Similarly our Yr 6 & 7 students have been working on a IBMYP 'Student Initiated Project" where they have identified a problem to solve and used design thinking to formulate and develop a solution. They too will have the opportunity to share the process they used to develop a product of personal relevance, next week. Thanks to Eve Hooper, Kylie Mueller, Thyrza Veitch and Vanessa Hiser for supporting students to prepare for this showcase of learning.
