RECEPTION FOREST ADVENTURE
Our Reception students recently visited Blackwood Forest as part of their How the World Works unit of inquiry. They explored how the weather affects the natural world while enjoying a fun scavenger hunt through the trees. The students loved discovering different textures, colours, and sounds in the forest and shared lots of excitement with their friends.
Back at school, each class created stunning mixed-media artworks to recount what they saw, smelt, and heard during the excursion. A highlight of the day was a special surprise—students in RL and RG were lucky enough to spot a bandicoot in its natural habitat!
