On Friday 9th May, eleven Coro students competed in the School Sport SA Team’s Mountain Bike Championships. A perfect day with lots of sunshine and dust and some very tired students by the end. 

Coro entered 4 teams, including our first ever mixed team. 

Held at Craigburn Farm Recreation Park, the event brought together schools from all across South Australia over 100 teams competing in the 2 hour race. The course was a mix of uphill and down hill, taking an average of ten to twelve minutes to complete each lap. Teams were tasked with completing as many laps as possible within the 2 hour time limit. 

Results: 

Boys (100 teams) – 13th, 17th and 66th 

Mixed (9 teams) – 5th
