FROM THE PRINCIPAL .....
Thank you to our Fantastic Volunteers!
This week is National Volunteer Week across Australia. This year’s theme is ‘Connecting Communities’. This is an important time to acknowledge the efforts of parents and friends who volunteer their time and energy to support our school in so many ways. Whether it’s helping in the canteen, assisting in the classroom, coordinating or coaching sports, organising fundraisers, joining excursions, participating in the governing council, staffing the uniform shop, participating in our Learning Assistance Program, Kids Hope, coordinating Book Club or supporting special interest areas – your efforts and support make a huge difference.
Mother’s Day Special Morning/Gift Stall
Well done to our Reception students and their teachers for providing a special morning, sharing gifts with mums and performing a Mother’s Day song.
We would like to extend our thanks to Jodie and all the parents who helped out with our recent Mother’s Day stall. Your time and effort made all the difference in helping students find a special gift for their mums and special people. We hope that all the mums in our school community had a wonderful Mother’s Day and felt appreciated and loved.
National Walk Safely to School Day
On Friday, 16th May many Coro students participated in National Walk Safely to School Day when all primary school children were encouraged to walk and commute safely to school.
Walk Safely to School Day is about considering our transport habits and trying to incorporate more walking as part of a healthy, active way to get around.
Students and families who walked to school were offered a fresh piece of fruit (kindly donated by Magarey Orchard) to help continue their healthy start to the school day. Well done to everyone that took part.
