RECEPTION NEWS
Fathers' Day and Special Persons' Day Celebration
Our reception students celebrated Fathers' Day and Special Persons' Day with a joyful morning of pancakes, hot Milo, and crafts! Students shared a delicious breakfast with their dads or special guests, enjoying time together in a warm, fun atmosphere.
After breakfast, students and their special visitors worked together on a craft activity, creating a personalised keepsake to remember the day. It was wonderful to see the creativity and teamwork on display!
A big thank you to all who attended and made the day so special for our students!

RSPCA Visit: Learning About Our Pets' Five Freedoms
Our reception students were excited to welcome Vicki from the RSPCA AWARE Education Program. She taught us about the "Five Freedoms" that all pets deserve, helping our students understand the importance of kindness and care for animals.
The Five Freedoms are:
- Freedom from hunger and thirst
- Freedom from discomfort
- Freedom from pain, injury, or disease
- Freedom to express normal behaviour
- Freedom from fear and distress
Through fun activities and engaging discussions, Vicki showed the students how we can ensure our pets are healthy, happy, and safe. It was a fantastic learning experience, and we are grateful to Vicki and the RSPCA for helping us become more responsible pet owners!

Reception Students Visit Cleland Wildlife Park
On Wednesday of Week 7 our reception students had an amazing day at Cleland Wildlife Park, enjoying perfect weather and plenty of exciting encounters with wildlife. The students had the chance to pet koalas, touch snakes, and feed kangaroos, making it a truly hands-on learning experience.
The day was filled with smiles and wonder as the students learned more about Australia's incredible animals. A big thank you to our wonderful volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly—we couldn't have done it without your amazing support!
