NETBALL SEASON 2024
The year three netball team has had a great season! A lot of girls joined the team this year which has lead to new friendships, learning new skills and a really successful season. We won the majority of our games and all of the team showed amazing teamwork and sportsmanship at all of their games.

Coromandel Valley PS Year 4 netball team consisted of eight little superstars in Annie, Lexi, Sienna, Lucy, Aria, Amelia, Indie and Amber. This season the team came up against some tough opponents and tricky situations, however, each and every player never gave up, always supported each other both on and off the court and always brought their biggest smiles to every single early Saturday morning game, rain, hail or shine. We had a couple of brand new netballers on the team this year, who were supported by our more experienced players and the incredible growth from each and every student was a joy to witness. We would also like to thank the families of the Year 4 netball team for their unwavering support throughout the season - it really was a whole team effort every week and your encouragement towards this team has been a huge part of the girls' success and growth this season.

What a great season for the year 4/5 Friday team! Throughout the season the girls demonstrated outstanding teamwork, fairness, skills and sportsmanship! New friendships were forged and old ones strengthened, providing each other with support on and off the court. We had some really tough games early on, and as the season progressed their improvement and commitment as a team was evident as they posed a challenge to opposing teams. Well done team, you should be really proud of yourselves!

The final chapter for our year 6 netball girls…
It’s been a fantastic season for our combined year 5/6 Friday night netball team. It’s brought many wins and tough losses, fantastic shooting, centre court and defending skills, but more importantly brought all the girls together for their final year at Coro.
The team consisted of Ava Richards, Georgia Ogilvie, Isabella King, Macie Wells, Eliza Schinella, Taylor Dillon, Anissa Coats, Ruby De Jagar, Freya Townsend and Amber Mayo. Most of these girls have played since year 2 days, so to see them grow each and every year with skills, confidence and abilities has been the most rewarding memory for all us families, and personally, as their coach for most of those years, to take away.
The girls showed up every week for training, rain, hail or shine and always put 100% in come game day. Thank you to the Coro OSHC cheer squads when we played at home.
School sports take a village of people to run, we are very thankful to Janita Bentley for making each year run smoothly by organising schools, court allocations, umpires, uniforms, fixtures and trophies…the list goes on!
Good luck to all the girls in their high school journeys, keep playing sport and being amazing!
Best wishes, Lisa Richards (Coach)
Closing out their final year with a nail-biter of a game the Saturday Year 6 netball girls have shown just how far they have come. A team of veterans, second/third-year netballers and newcomers who have an amazing amount of skill between them, Lola, Peyton, Kaydah, Isla, Ruby, Sarah, Evy and Olivia.
Often taking to the court with no spare players they fought hard with no rest almost every game as they found their groove as a team. It takes determination and strength of character to keep fighting all season but that's just what these girls did week in and week out. I'm proud of them for working so hard and finally getting that elusive win.
I have only coached these girls for one year but what a privilege to witness the blood sweat and tears shed on the court, the smiles at training every week, that final home game, the last training session and the final seconds of your Coro netball years. Amazing memories!
Thanks to everyone who supported the girls and me throughout the year.
I wish you all the best of luck on your new adventure!
