ORIENTEERING
In Week 6, Coromandel Valley PS attended the Orienteering School Relay Champs, in which 42 of our Year 4, 5, and 6 students competed.
The event was held at Lochiel Park in Campbelltown. Although the forecast was for rain, we were fortunate to have great weather.
Students have been learning about orienteering in PE and this was a good chance to put their knowledge and skills to the test. Our school finished a respectable 2nd in the primary boys category and 3rd in the primary girls category.
All our participants should be congratulated on doing a great job and for their impeccable behaviour throughout the day.
Special mention to our fastest competitors:
- Year 6 boy: Lucas
- Year 6 girl: Mila
- Year 5 boy: Sebastian
- Year 5 girl: Charlotte
- Year 4 boy: Izzac
- Year 4 girl: Alice
- Fastest overall: Lucas
A big thank you to all the parents who assisted with supervision and organisation of students, and transporting equipment. Excursions like this can’t run without your help and we are always grateful to you for generously volunteering your time.
