YEAR 6 PHOTOGRAPHY EXCURSION
During weeks 10 and 11 last term, the year 6 classes enjoyed wonderful opportunities to investigate media arts, photography and techniques used in photography as part of our unit of inquiry called Picture Perfect.
Our unit focuses on the central idea that through planning, photographers tell stories and capture moments in time. We are also looking into successful photographers and photography as an industry.
In week 10, we had the pleasure of welcoming John Adams from Adventure Art Photography. John shared valuable skills and rules of photography with us, demonstrating how simple adjustments to our devices can significantly enhance our photography skills.
Continuing our exploration in week 11, we visited Belair National Park for a hands-on photography experience, guided by John. Students had the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice and participated in an engaging Scavenger Hunt, further developing their photography skills.
John's expertise and ability to connect with the children made both sessions incredibly professional and engaging. All students from CVPS represented our school exceptionally well and thoroughly enjoyed our experiences.
