BOOK WEEK
STEM PRC
Congratulations to all our STEM challenge participants, with a special mention to Jeffrey and Ashley who were awarded Runner Up prizes. A huge achievement!
Premiers Reading Challenge
This year is the 20th year of this challenge. WOW! What an achievement, and to celebrate this, many students have competed in the 20 book celebration to remember such a memorable moment.
The PRC for 2023 concludes on 8th September. All entries need to be in at the office, so they can be processed. Thank you to those families who continue to support each child to read and fill in their sheet.

Lunchtime craft
Throughout the week, many students came to enjoy crafts and story time in the library. We made tongue zapping frogs, drew lifelike giraffes, created feathery birds and folded origami dog bookmarks. The participating students all had a great time and were very pleased with their creations.

Illustrator and writer visit
On Tuesday we were wowed by the talents of Sally Heinrich. She shared her styles of artwork, lino, watercolours and pen, and the process of book making. Afterwards the students had an opportunity to test out their own skills and create their own unique character who displayed different emotions; by changing eyes, eyebrows, mouth and lines.

Perform Education Performance
The R – 2 classes were entertained with singing, dancing and acting. They all had great fun and enjoyed the CBCA’s shortlisted stories that were interwoven into a great storyline.

The Grand Book Parade
What beautiful weather we had for our Grand Book Parade. So many of our family’s special people came to watch, and what an awesome selection of costumes had been created. It was wonderful to see the books that had inspired each student’s costume.
Our Book Parade was concluded with an amazing Musical Extravaganza! It was lovely to see some many people stay to listen and watch the talents of our students. We know the students really enjoyed having you all there!
